PROGRAM STRUCTURE VIRGINIA DISTRICT AAU BOYS' & GIRLS BASKETBALL

PROGRAM STRUCTURE:  The structure of the Virginia District Boys' and Girls' AAU Basketball is a joint effort combining boys' and girls' basketball which has enabled our program to prosper and give the maximum quality back to our member clubs and players.  Although it is a combined program with an executive committee appointed by both the boys' and girls' chairmen, the chairman of girls' and the chairman of boys' have the final decision in approving all decisions made by the executive committee.  Each chairman appoints four members of the committee to represent the four regions of our district.  The administrative chairman is appointed by the chairmen to handle administrative matters for the program and to be a central contact point for all district qualifying tournaments.

CHAIRMAN VIRGINIA DISTRICT AAU GIRLS' BASKETBALL:  Jan Bruce is the Chairman of the girls' AAU basketball program for the Virginia District.  Jan has been active in girls' basketball and the AAU for more than 20 years.  He resides in Roanoke with his wife Pat who is also very active in both the Virginia District and the National AAU Girls' Basketball Program.  Besides being the Chairman in Virginia, Jan also is the Vice Chairman of Girls' Basketball at the National level.   Jan  is the final decision authority for matters regarding girls' basketball within the Virginia District.  Jan can be contacted via E-mail at aaujan@aol.com

CHAIRMAN VIRGINIA DISTRICT AAU BOYS' BASKETBALL:  Boo Williams is the Chairman of the boys' AAU basketball program for the Virginia District.  Boo has been active in boys' basketball and the AAU for more than 20 years.  He resides in Hampton with his wife and family.  With the help of his wife and mom, Boo has established the nationally know Boo Williams Summer Basketball program serving the Eastern Virginia area.  Besides being the Chairman in Virginia, Boo also is the Chairman of Boys' Basketball at the National level.   Like Jan, Boo  is the final decision authority for matters regarding boys' basketball within the Virginia District.  Boo can be contacted via E-mail at bwslbasketball@cox.net
